Thank you so much Dr. Casiano for making this information available to me. I am quite blessed to have someone of your stature to assist me with my project, Black Women and Depression, for my Women's Issues course.

Peace and blessings. I'm so proud of everyone who worked so hard to put this together for us. I'm doing a lot of community organizing for Junior Achievement in Mercer County, NJ, and I noticed that the Spark program participants and the Robinson Grant winners attend schools we partner with in Trenton. I didn't know IPC had a direct presence in this area. Can someone tell me who are Trenton's IPC's primary contacts? Definitely have to connect. Thanks!

Literally, I have tears in my eyes when I think back to our 1st IPC gathering in 2000 in Newport to jump start an organization for Black alums. You all have "done the darn thing"! I'm so very proud and as usual, wish I was closer to NYC to really participate. A website and a foundation? A chapter in NY and another in DC. It is a dream come true! All I can say is wow.. Ya'll go!!!

I'm very excited about the work being done. I read all the messages that come through, though I am usually unable to attend functions, as I am a great distance away.

Regarding the question of the month posted, I think institutions are "watching" to see if black alumni will re-connect in mass because of the rather bold statement of having a black woman as president of the university. For a whole host of reasons, the implicit point(that "all eyes are on us") posed in the question is a critical one.

On another note, perhaps I am uninformed, but do we have an all-class alumni-of-color reunion?

Take care everyone!

IPC NYC Metro is fast becoming a replicable model for University Affinity groups. Go US and I do mean all of us from Coast to Coast. IPC efforts have grown so significantly from those early 'how we gonna do this Schomurg thang' days, just a short 2 years ago.
We are 'Ever True' and doin' it for ourselves....
